Attention All Band Parents and Students The Zachary High School Bronco Band Boosters were approached by "Integrated Stadium Seating" regarding a possible fund raising offer for our group during August of
2009. This company is a stadium seatback leasing/rental service provider for some of the nation's largest universities
according to their website. They began providing seatbacks for LSU's Tiger Stadium starting with the 2009
football season.
The boosters were offered fifty cents
(0.50) for each seat installed in the stadium. Additionally, we would be responsible for staffing five booths inside
Tiger Stadium to lease and service these chairs during the games. We are paid $750.00 per game ($150.00 per
booth). At the end of the season, we will uninstall each chair and place them back in storage. We will then
be paid another fifty cents (0.50) for each seat uninstalled.
The
boosters in attendance at the August 11, 2009 meeting approved this fund raising offer. Over the 2009 and 2010
football seasons, we raised over $26,000 for the ZHS Band Boosters.
For the 2009 season, we raised over $10,000. The money raised during the 2009 season went towards paying back
the Zachary Community School Board for the money they loaned the band program to participate in the Independence Day
Parade in Washington, DC on July 4, 2009. For the 2010 season, we raised over $16,000 from the Tiger Seatback fundraiser.
The money earned was then distributed as follows: A band member or relative who worked on the major install or
take out days for the seats received $50 in their account. Any parent working at least six hours on any day during the
work week, assisting with new order installations or maintenance issues had $50 credited to their childs'
band account. Each band member or parent(s) working a booth during an LSU game had $40 credited
to their (childs') band account.
As you can see, this is a major way to make money for ZHS band members.
Any excess funds not distributed into individual accounts are kept in the general fund of the ZHS Bronco Band Boosters.
We anticipate an even larger number of seats to be available for lease for the 2011 football season.
All help is appreciated! Please note: A large number of people are required on the "initial install"
and "take-out" days, as we had over 12,800 seats installed & removed for the 2010 season. We
will post on this website as well as "Charms" any "initial install" details for the 2011 LSU
football season once they become available. We already know for sure that the "take-out day" for 2011 is December
3rd (eight days after the LSU/Arkansas game).
The home games at Tiger Stadium for 2011 are as
follows:
September 10th - Northwestern State (Louisiana) October 1st - Kentucky October 8th - Florida October 22nd - Auburn November 12th - Western Kentucky November 25th - Arkansas
Please e-mail
Mike Musselman at mwmusselman@bellsouth.net with any questions or to sign up to work any of the LSU games. Additional information will be posted when it becomes
available.

ADDITIONAL FUND RAISING HELP IS NEEDED!
The
Zachary High School Band Boosters have been chosen to operate the concession stands at all home varsity football games on
the visitor's side. We will be responsible for stocking this venue as we see fit. Our goal is to provide exceptional
customer service as well as a hot meal choice for our visiting guests. We will likely need plenty of help so please volunteer
when you can!
In additional to the Friday night games on the visitor's side, we will also be responsible
for the concession stands on the home side for the home Freshman and JV football games.
The scheduled dates
for all of the football games can be found on our calendar: http://my.calendars.net/zhsbandofblue as well as the "Charms" calendar (for band members/parents).
Please e-mail Rob Nelson at rob.nelson@cox.net if you can assist us with concessions at any of these games. We will gladly sign you up! ZHS band members
can work the JV and Freshman football game concessions but obviously cannot work the Friday night games.
